UCSF Bioengineering and Joint Graduate Group in Bioengineering (JGGB) are currently located in the Byers Hall Building on the Mission Bay Campus. All activities for this program are supported by the staff listed here. As the Managing Administrator for the Program in Bioengineering, Hillie Cousart is the point of contact for inquiries regarding the Division’s Executive Committee and Dr. Sarah Nelson, Chair. In addition, she facilitates grant and manuscript preparation, Seminar arrangements, visits from Scholars, Web development, and office management. Ms Cousart furthers the mission of the Division by participating with the Executive Committee in their efforts to promote the Program in Bioengineering at UCSF to full Department status and the first recruiting call for Faculty positions in Bioengineering.

Ms Taylor administers the UCSF component of the UCSF/UCB Joint Graduate Group in Bioengineering. She oversees recruitment, admissions, and orientation of the graduate students; advises students on academic procedures for advancement, and oversees student financial support. She is the primary liaison between students and the University. Ms Taylor participates with the Group’s executive committee in setting and meeting their goals, overseeing the NIH Training Grant, and planning events such as the Annual Bioengineering Conference.

Jeff's position supports activities for the Joint Graduate Group in Bioengineeringg(JGGB) and UCSF Bioengineering. His efforts directly support research and faculty activities for Drs. Tejal Desai and Mats Gustafsson. He can be contacted for pre- and post- award grant question, lab and office purchasing issues, and academic curriculum and facility questions. Many of the UCSF or JGGB web, grad division, and student activities assistance is coordinated with him, so he is also available for clarification with these issues.

David's position supports Radiology and Bioengineering. This position is the contact for research and office management support activities for the Surbeck Labs. He should be contacted for resource or fiscal questions with either group. He is involved in support of many Joint Graduate Group Bioengineering program office and event functions.
