| UCSF Bioengineering Spring 07-08 |
Bioengineering spans a wide range of different technologies and scientific interests. At UCSF the emphasis has been on applying cutting edge instrumentation and quantitative approaches to address fundamental problems in biology and medicine. This has involved diverse, multi-disciplinary collaborations that include more than twenty different Departments. The major areas of interests that have been selected for growth in the research and educational programs are described as five distinct areas.
These result from intra- and intercampus collaborations between research groups at UCSF and their colleagues at UCB. Information about the research focus areas for the Department of Bioengineering at UCB and the joint UCSF/UCB Joint Graduate Group can be found on their respective web pages.
